Dear Sorobon friends!


As per 10 December 2009 the Sorobon Beach Resort will have two new very proud owners, Dirk-Jan Methorst and Floris Dullaart.

We, Dirk-Jan and Floris, are now involved in the surf center Jibe City next to the Resort. We have been living on Bonaire for several years and have an extensive background in hospitality.

We both graduated from the hotel school in The Hague, the Netherlands.

We know that our repeat guests value the resort as it is, and come back year after year. Until the first of December 2010 nothing will change in the concept of the resort, meaning Sorobon will stay your naturist hideaway and all good service and our friendly staff will remain in place to serve you.

After December first 2010 we will create our dream paradise which will not be naturist but will stay very exclusive.

We would like to see all of you in our resort in 2010, and to celebrate this last year of Naturism at Sorobon, we offer for you one free dinner per person, per week stay and from January first we include breakfast in our room rates.

The Tourism Corporation Bonaire is recognizing visitors that have been coming to Bonaire year after year. We want to let them know how special they are to us and that with this recognition we are making them our unofficial ambassadors! During their Weekly Manager's Cocktail Party at Sorobon Beach Resort Norma and Bill Amthor from the USA got their Medal for coming to Bonaire as their Vacation Spot for 10 consecutive years. They have been staying at Sorobon Beach Resort for these past years.

From the Manager of Sorobon Beach Resort Ms. Rian Van Ballegooijen Mr. & Mrs. Amthor received the beautiful coffee table book "Eye on Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao" which the cover is The Beach at Sorobon.

We work together with Photo Tours Divers. They offer you different kinds of courses, PADI Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and all sorts of specialities. Also they organize nightdives with a bonfire and a buffet, Barbeque, Pizza or Chinese food for example. You have the opportunity to come along for a guided dive along the Eastcoast. Turtles, spotted Eagle rays and even sharks if you are lucky, they have a guide whose speciality is the Eastcoast.
You want to get your dive on a DVD? No problem, even that is possible.
