‘What’s the weather like on Bonaire?’
While we’re used to dressing according to the weather and checking weather apps before leaving the house, during our holiday that is one of the main things we try to run away from. The destination in our minds is most likely sun-kissed DRY sandy shores and a light warm breeze.
For the travelers, craving the relaxation and non-stop vitamin D, Bonaire is the perfect holiday destination! The small island of Bonaire, located in the far South Caribbean, just 80km off the shores of Venezuela, is the ultimate sun-filled destination! The island is outside of the tropical storm and hurricane area.
This is great for two reasons. One, there are barely any clouds all year round. Two, the chance of a natural disaster (i.e. hurricane) is extremely slim. You can easily call Bonaire one of the safest islands in the world.
But it’s not only the sun that puts Bonaire in a leading position for most sunlit destinations. The name of the island stands for Bon Air, which literally means “good air”. On the island you are engulfed in a constant breeze, along with the healthy saltiness in the air that cleanses your pores and skin. The only month when there is higher chance in rain is December, however, even then it stops after just a few minutes.
So, let’s practice. “What’s the weather on Bonaire like today?” “Just like yesterday, and the day before (and probably tomorrow).”
